Office Organization

Do you need some easy tips to help you organize all those sticky notes, papers and general disorganization in your office?

Use These Tips:

  • Use an alphabetical card file to organize all your internet usernames and passwords – alphabetize by site name
  • Don’t use sticky notes to write odds and ends info – use a spiral notebook to hold all your notes
  • Learn to write with bullet points – your reader will appreciate how easy your document is to read
  • Outsource the tasks you don’t like allowing you to become more efficient with the tasks you do like

I am excited to say, the one thing you mentioned about the spiral notebook vs. post-its is SO ABSOLUTELY TRUE! This year, I tried that out but with a composition book (the spiral edges bother me when they bend… I’m a bit OCD) and I carried my composition book around EVERYWHERE at school (I’m a reading coach). When it came time to find info, I knew where to find it! My tasks became easy! I give it a 5 star rating Lora!

    Hi Lora,
One thing I can certainly relate to that you have mentioned in this post, the spiral notebook. That has been a life saver for me! I date each page and list what I need to do and what I have done, phone numbers, notes, etc….when they are full, I put the date range on the outside of it and file it away. Let me tell you, I have gone back to those notebooks time and time again to either look for a phone number, a note about a client and/or any sort of info I might have wrote down that day and maybe need several weeks later. It works for me and glad to see you mentioning it here. Love your site and will be back to visit again. Make it a great day!!!

    Deb :)
